Elon Musk is a despicable person. Here is somebody with the wealth and opportunity to have had a lasting impact on humanity. But instead the guy just pedals antisemitic tropes, endorse neo-Nazis around the world, spreads lies about white genocide and white replacement, has meddled with his AI which then praises Adolf Hitler (and even generated child abuse images).
Could he have had a positive impact on humanity? The UN World Food Programme (WFP) had said that a one time donation of just 2% of Musk’s wealth ($6 bn) would save 43 million from literal starvation. Musk publicly challenged the WFP to show $6 bn would ‘solve world hunger’ but the WFP’s director clarified that wasn’t claim and that it would serve as an emergency stopgap to prevent catastrophic global famine. The WFP published a detailed plan and what did Musk do after he WFP published this and offered to meet him? He just went quite (and never sent a penny to the WFP).
I can’t write an essay on what a lying, manipulative conman Elon Musk is. How he has lied about Tesla’s autonomous driving progress or safety, how he bought Twitter to re-enable far-right extremism into public discourse, how even disowned his own child because they are trans, how he spends so much time smacked off his face on ketamine, how he has transferred huge amounts of public wealth via Space X into his own pockets. I suspect the guy is screwed in the head from childhood. Put it this way. his dad, Errol, married Heide in the 90s and took Jana, age 4, as his stepdaughter. He got Jana pregnant with two children in 2017 and 2019. If that doesn’t indicate a breeding pit of some severe personality disorder of the world’s most prominent Nazi and wealthiest individual, I don’t know what does.
But all things being said, there is one moment in the infamous timeline of Elon Musk that captures why Elon Musk and his companies (listed below) should be boycotted for public good:
There will be people out there too horrified to admit this travesty, there will be out there who sympathise with Naziism and will pretend this Sieg Heil is anything but. I think Orwell sums it up well: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
