THis web filtrate is a Facebook group. Although most people probably don’t award using Facebook with any ethical consideration, I need to first explain the deep web and then excuse myself for a reference to this content.
The deep web refers to parts of the web that are hidden behind authentication. When that information is sensitive and helf behind your bank’s security, that makes sense. When the information is not sensitive but held behind a social media login or paywall, that’s where a conflict with the founding principles of the Web emerges. It is corporate greed that forces content to be restricted and hidden behind mechanism that forces users to forefeit their personal information and be subjected to advertising.
This reduces the openness of the Web and sites like Twitter (now rebranded X) or Facebook require user have masses of content unavailable to the human race, locked behind their own proprietary walls. I personally don’t advocate this approach and its one of many reasons why I continue to abstain from using these sites as my means of communication on the Web.
However, if you are a Facebook user then my recommendation this time is the Dull Men’s Club, which is a tongue-in-cheek group for posting dull images and reflections. I find a lot to be comedically dull. You’ll have to forgive its members though for mistaking the word dullard to mean a dull person.
